NOTD - OMG! I’m Indi-a mood for love
Written by Elisabeth on July 15, 2009 – 20:19 -OPI’s Indi-a mood for love is supposedly a dead on dupe for the pink in MAC’s limited edition Hello Kitty collection. Arguably, Indi-a mood for love does not have Hello Kitty on it, but it has a great formula and if you really really want Kitty on the bottle you can always slap a kawaii sticker on there!
For the konadicure part of this I used China Glaze OMG! I think it was a nice effect even if it was a bit more subtle than I had imagined it to be inside my head. But people have complimented this manicure so I guess it shows off enough.
I’m also beginning to be happy with the shape of my nails. I think they need a bit more work before I’ll be completely satisfied, but I’m on my way. I haven’t had long nails for a few years so it takes some getting used to.

Can you please write a post where you tell people like me that as good as never wears nail polish exactly how we do this? On these pictures I especially notice that you don’t wear the nail polish all the way down the nail. How do you make this happen without making the “border” all messy and stuff?
So please - if you could lear a novice how this is done, I would be most thankful!
Perhaps a step-by-step-guide through care, shaping, choice of colour and especially how to get the polish on nice and evenly instead of in a lot of lumps…

Hi Lilja.
I’m sorry to get back to you so incredibly late…
Actually I have no good advice. I myself have just watched a bunch of youtube videos (well, that IS advice I guess…) and I try my best.
Most of the time I paint more or less all over my entire finger, I’m very sloppy and rarely manage to make it look good right away. If I need to look pretty that same day I take acetone and a small brush and remove all I have spilled, if not I just rub it off in the shower the next morning. In my pictures on this blog it looks like I manage a pretty gap - that’s because I’m lazy and never photograph my nails untill it’s been a few days, and by then my nails have grown so much that it looks like I have painted my nails perfectly
But your other points I actually think I can whip ut a post on. Someday when I’m not totally new at my job and comatose by the time I get home!

A late answer is much, much better than no answer at all!
I look forward to your post, and in the meantime I’ll just not do anything. Beutiful hands and nails is something I really would like to have!
